Oman begins home vaccination visits for target groups

In a new move, Omani The Ministry of Health has started providing home visit services to those in the target group for vaccination against COVID-19. MZ representatives visited those who enrolled in the community health program, as the Health Services Administration prepared an integrated plan to ensure comprehensive vaccination of the target group.

Two days earlier, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammad Al Saeedi, Minister of Health, at a meeting chaired by the Ministry of Health, to discuss the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, confirmed that the Sultanate is among the countries most eager to choose effective and safe vaccines.

The Minister appealed to all target groups to take the initiative to receive shots to protect themselves and their families, and called on everyone to fully adhere to preventive measures such as wearing masks, physical distancing, avoiding gatherings and maintaining hand hygiene. During the meeting, the Minister was informed about the developments in the field of immunization and the obstacles that prevent reaching the target groups.

Particular mention was made of false information posted on social media, which led to the reluctance of some groups who are most vulnerable to being stung, which in turn led to some becoming infected and going to hospitals, especially to ICUs.
